Healthcare Management Track (part of the CIIM MSc Business Management Programme)
While health systems and healthcare providers are still being challenged by the pandemic, there is both a need and an opportunity to provide healthcare professionals with additional management tools, methods and practices, to optimise resource allocation and cost-effectiveness in the broader health care sector and prepare them for the next challenge around the corner.
Responding to this opportunity and pressing need, CIIM offers through its MSc in Business Management programme (MBM), a Healthcare Management Track which integrates health economics, management and policy in the design and delivery of health services and analyses current health management problems. It covers critical subjects such as healthcare operations & quality management, performance measurement, and improvement of healthcare delivery systems and services. The MBM courses including the Healthcare Track will be offered in short modules in evenings and weekends during the academic year 2021-22.
In addition to the above, the management of the Masters Programme MBM – MSc in Business Management, in light of the programme’s offering towards the development of human resources in the health sector, is giving away a number of scholarships to qualified and talented candidates that are currently working, or desire to work, in the Management of Health Services sector.
The Healthcare Management Track, taken either as part of the MBM degree programme, or as a self-standing executive module, will benefit all health professionals such as clinicians, health services managers, executives of health system organizations and hospitals, specialists from health insurance companies and funds, governmental and international agencies, pharmaceutical and consulting firms. It is the first time that such a focused healthcare management track module is offered in Cyprus providing substantial new knowledge and tools to its participants.
To be eligible to apply, you must have:
- Bachelor degree in any field from an accredited educational institution
- Proficiency in English (graduation from an English speaking institution, TOEFL, IELTS or similar standardised test)
- Perform successfully in a personal interview
