Today’s media landscape can be a confusing and chaotic place. As consumers and business buyers, we are continuously bombarded with messages. How to compare apparently similar offerings from multiple companies? And how can marketers/ business owners cut through the noise to grab attention and generate leads and sales?

In this fast-paced session, CIIM external lecturer Mike Berry says “This is your time to stand out!”. Mike will take us through today’s key (digital) marketing trends, focusing on how the best marketing uses both data and creativity to ensure the message really stands out. Mike will explain how any business can gain a real competitive edge in today’s dynamic marketing world.

Over a 30-year career in marketing, Mike has worked with many of the world’s largest brands. Having started out at Procter and Gamble, he has held senior international roles at agencies including Wunderman (WPP) and Bozell/ FCB and Jack Morton (Interpublic). Since becoming a freelance trainer, lecturer and consultant in 2009, Mike has worked with CIIM as Course Tutor and Guest Lecturer in Digital Marketing in both Nicosia and Limassol.

He is Course Tutor on the IDM’s Professional Diploma in Direct and Digital Marketing.

Mike is Lead Course Director, Digital Strategy at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

Mike is a Visiting Lecturer at Imperial College London and the Universities of Cranfield and Warwick.

He has been an Adjunct Professor at Hult International Business School London for 5 years.

He trains and consults ‘in-company’ for major corporations (brand owners and agencies) and SMEs.

Mike is both passionate and knowledgeable about digital marketing and his classical marketing training and wide experience make him ideally qualified to train marketers at all levels in digital skills.

Mike is the author/co-author of ‘The New Integrated Direct Marketing’ (Gower) and The Best of Global Digital Marketing Books 1 and 2
