Marketing will change more over the next 5 years than it has over the past 20. Big data gets bigger every day. Extracting real consumer insights is getting more challenging. Brands are losing touch with their customers so that trust is declining. We need help – and machines are increasingly ready and willing! AI is already being used by Google for search, Facebook for facial recognition and Netflix to ‘conquer the world‘. When will VR and AR be ‘real’ ie. contenders for hard-won real-world marketing budgets so that ‘Sci-Fi’ becomes ‘Marketing Now’? Futurists envisage a world where consumers’ thoughts and behaviour are influenced and even controlled by intelligent, data-hungry, analysis-based programs. So what should marketers do?
In this lively and fast-paced session, CIIM external lecturer Mike Berry will address these questions and more. Mike will take us through today’s key (digital) marketing trends, explaining how businesses can harness these new technologies to gain a real competitive advantage.
