Dr. Diego A Salazar Morales
Assistant Professor

Dr. Diego A Salazar Morales is a researcher interested in how organisations can effectively deliver their goals – with a special focus on educational, health and fiscal institutions. Diego’s academic career is influenced by his practitioner years which has given him first-hand experience on the functioning, practicalities, and challenges of policy delivery in a real context. His methodological approach adopts a comprehensive range of tools, including applied econometrics to more critical and postcolonial perspectives. Diego has been research associate at various European and Latin American institutions. He holds teaching experience
both in Peru and the UK. He has also founded the Instituto de Estudios Políticos Andinos – IEPA (www.iepa.org.pe) where he currently is a Senior Research Felllow. He is happy to engage with international (specially, but not restricted to, Global South) researchers willing to join the Hertie community!
