Bridging the Trading Gap: The Technical Analysis Approach

Technical Analysis is the discipline for forecasting the future direction of asset prices through the study of past market data. In this 2 hour lecture we will introduce the rudimentary concepts and principles of Technical Analysis - the study of market trends.
By the end of this technical analysis seminar, participants will be able to:
- Identify the beginning as well as the end of a trend
- Join the trend with precise timing
- Use multiple time frames to enhance accuracy
- Use oscillators for confirming the trends
- Exit at the correct Level
Who is it for?
The seminar is for people that invest or give investment advice in the financial markets. Employees of treasuries, Stock Brokers, Foreign exchange brokers, Bond traders and brokers, private banking departments and their risk management departments, as well as private investors and traders. It is suitable for both new and seasoned traders.
The Instructor:
Avramis Despotis has a BSc in Economics from University College London and an MSc in Finance and Banking from the Athens University of Economics. He is a Certified Financial Technician from the International Federation of Technical Analysts, a member of the British Society of Technical Analysts and is certified from CySec for Portfolio Management and Own Account Trading.
His extensive trading experience in Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Fixed Income, Commodities, Equities and Derivatives stems from years of trading as an interbank trader. Over the last few years he has taught Technical Analysis, Money Management and Trader Psychology to more than 2,000 traders, mainly in Europe and the Middle East. Clients he has taught include Reuters, HSBC, Deutsche Bank, Saxo Bank, Emporiki Bank, Association of Cyprus Banks, Hellenic Bank, Piraeus Bank, National Commercial Bank, Samba, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Dubai Investment Group, Emirates Bank, Gulf Bank, Lukoil, Alpha Bank, National Bank of Dubai, and Grupo Banco Popular among others.
Currently he is the director of PHI Trading Academy (www.phiacademy.com), has his own company developing automated trading systems using technical analysis and algorithms and is prop trading in the forex markets.
