
APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR LOCAL & EU STUDENTS
STAGE 1
1. APPLICATION FORM
All sections must be filled-in properly, with dates where appropriate and addresses, telephone-numbers etc. Please note that applicants may sponsor themselves, or be sponsored by a member of his/her family, a friend, or even a company. Applicants are kindly requested not to forget to sign the application form in the appropriate space provided.
Applications should be submitted to CIIM at least one month before the beginning of classes.
2. DEGREES AND TRANSCRIPTS/MARKSHEETS
All applicants are required to submit certified copies of their High School Leaving Certificate (Apolytirion for local applicants), Bachelor’s Degree and Transcripts (for all years of study). If the certificates/degrees and grades/marks are not issued in Greek or English, a certified translation will be required.
3. KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH
Applicants whose English is not their first language must have documentary evidence of their ability to communicate effectively in English (i.e. IELTS, TOEFL, GCSE). Applicants who have graduated from universities where the language of instruction is English are exempt.
4. LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
Two letters of recommendation must accompany the application form. Recommendations from friends, family members, or acquaintances are not acceptable and will not be reviewed. The letters of recommendation should be sent sealed and signed by the referee. The referees may prepare letters for this purpose or use the Admission Recommendation forms provided by CIIM.
5. PHOTOGRAPHS OF YOURSELF
Four passport-size photographs must be attached on the application form also.
All the above, plus the application fee (at present EURO €50), complete the application.
When CIIM receives the above, the Admissions Officer will acknowledge receipt of the application and immediately review its contents and supporting documents. Should there be any item(s) out-standing, the Admissions Officer will notify the applicant of his/her status immediately and what is required before the application can be processed.
STAGE 2
1. INTERVIEW
Once the completed set of the application is received, and you do meet the minimum admission criteria the Office of Admissions will contact you to schedule an interview. Local students will be required to come to CIIM for a personal interview, whereas students living abroad will be interviewed over the telephone. Therefore please make sure all contact numbers and addresses on the application form are written correctly and clearly.
2. LETTER OF ADMISSION
A Letter of Admission, namely a letter that specifies the terms and conditions under which one has been admitted at CIIM, will be forwarded to applicants who have been accepted to study at CIIM.
If you are admitted, then you must pay the Registration Fee (at present EURO €850) in order to re-serve your seat on the programme of your choice. The Registration fee is not part of the tuition fees and it is not refundable.
