The CIIM MBA is built on three pillars:

  • Common Core Courses
  • Specialised Electives
  • Projects

Courses offered are worth 3 ECTS credits (14 hours of classes), 4.5 ECTS credits (21 hours of classes) or 6 ECTS credits (28 hours of classes). Most courses are designed to be self-contained. In some cases, however, candidates may need to strengthen skills in mathematics, statistics, economics and finance, or accounting prior to enrolling in certain courses. A number of advanced courses may only be attended by students that have completed at least 50% of the programme coursework.

To graduate, students must obtain 105 ECTS course credits,  plus 15 ECTS credits by completing a final project work - with options ranging from a business plan to a major in-company project, usually directed at a problem, or a new business opportunity within their assigned company.

The MBA structure in brief

  • Language of instruction is English.
  • Courses are organised in short intensive modules.
  • Rigorous, analytical and quantitative instruction, interactive case-method, team exercises, simulation games and “live” projects.
  • Assessment is continuous. A combination of different methods, including written exercises, in-classroom examinations and class participation, determine the participant’s grade.
  • Project work is an integral part of all degree programmes.
  • Lecturers use simulation games, spreadsheets, and other computer exercises as part of their teaching methodology.
  • Team exercises and management style presentations are important components of the programme.

CIIM's model (of intensive modular course structure) is being increasingly adopted throughout the world in prestigious schools
