To graduate, MBA students require a total of 105 course credits.
Core courses
The initial emphasis of the curriculum is on building a strong conceptual foundation. Toward that end, our programmes all require a number of “core” subjects as educational building blocks for further study and development. The CIIM MBA requires 75 ECTS credits earned over a total of 16 core subjects.
Electives
With the help of their faculty and administrators, MBA students fill out the balance of their course schedule with a minimum of 30 elective course ECTS credits that fit their personal career interests and professional development needs. MBA particpants are thus able to enhance their ability to apply the theoretical and empirical tools learned in the core requirements to a specialised discipline based on their professional and personal interest.
Final Project
Once they have completed at least 50% of their coursework, students are allowed to undertake a project, or prepare a business plan during the latter part of their programme. The project comprises 15 additional ECTS credits. The subject of the project must be of direct relevance to the participants’ present or future job responsibilities. The project is defined in collaboration with their tutors and the resident faculty. CIIM thus encourages the application of acquired theoretical knowledge to the working environment.
