A lecture by Dimis Michaelides
What is it that makes us happy at work? And what makes us unhappy? Why are these questions important for organizations?
This lecture is based on scientific research of the past 15 years on the topics of human happiness and innovation. It will examine the importance of the personal and social dimensions of happiness at the workplace and their link to creativity and innovation.
It will also allude to the deep and accelerating changes in the nature of work. We will ask questions and probe for intelligent answers. How important is well-being at work? Who is responsible for well-being at work? How might an organization improve the well-being of its people? What is the role of money, rewards and punishments and, generally, incentives?
The presentation will include some interactivity and a dose of magic.
