The Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM) announces one full and two partial scholarships to study for a world-class MSc in Finance and Banking.

Candidates must be proficient in English and have a Bachelor degree or equivalent professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA and at least three years of work experience; or a Chartered Banker Qualification, an IBS General Banking Diploma or a Diploma of Insurance Studies from the Insurance Institute of Cyprus and eight years of experience.

Interested individuals should submit the following documents by 15 January 2012 (the final deadline for applications):

  1. A scholarship application form (obtainable from CIIM’s website www.ciim.ac.cy)
  2. An application for admission (obtainable from CIIM’s website) along with the required documents
  3. Two letters of recommendation

A personal interview is an integral part of the selection process. The scholarships will be awarded strictly on merit and will apply to studies starting February 2012.
The MSc in Finance and Banking provides a thorough theoretical and practical knowledge in all aspects of finance and banking, and helps the participants sharpen their decision-making and managerial skills. It consists of an innovative curriculum taught by a strong team of world-class faculty experienced in diverse aspects of finance and banking, brought in from leading world universities. To help integrate the local with the global and the theoretical with the practical, CIIM also engages experienced bankers and policy makers familiar with both the local and international markets and policies.

The programme is addressed to employees of local and international banks, financial service companies and other financial institutions, as well as insurance firms and prepares them for positions in areas such as:

  • Private and corporate banking
  • Investment banking
  • Investment advisory and financial services
  • Fund and portfolio management
  • Wealth and asset management
  • Brokerage and foreign exchange
  • Risk management and insurance
