The Executive Development Programme (EDP) is a management training programme specifically designed for mid-level managers and supervisors – some like to refer to it as a “mini” MBA. It is an absolute must for all newly appointed managers who wish to learn successful practices in managing people and handling on-the-job challenges as well as for the more experienced Managers who need to refresh their skills or learn new practices. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of what makes an effective manager, from developing positive relationships, exercising team leadership and motivating people to sourcing talent, setting performance expectations, managing projects, and developing and implementing business strategies.
This dynamic programme addresses specific and crucial business issues and provides practical tools and knowledge directly related to business situations. Participants are required to apply their newly acquired knowledge and skills to business situations, or apply them to challenges that they are currently facing within their organisations. This ensures maximum learning impact to benefit both the individual and the organisation.
The EDP covers a variety of case studies from across industries, thus ensuring relevance to all business sectors. Participation from a broad mix of industries will challenge the way individuals think and allow them to identify new ways forward for their organisation and their own career development.
Individuals have a unique opportunity to acquire fundamental management skills in a short-period of time and apply them to increasingly more complex business situations, thus allowing for the smooth transition to positions of further management responsibility.
