The CDC team organises annual career events where companies are invited to present the career opportunities that they have available for MBA graduates. CIIM CDC will be an active partner in your preparation for the pursuit of professional employment during your time at the Cyprus International Institute of Management, but the responsibility for participating in the available activities and employing these skills successfully to obtain a professional position is yours. We provide you with the following services and activities to assist you in your career management:

 

Career Orientation day
Every beginning of October a career orientation day is held. On this day CIIM Alumni, invited guests and speakers come to the School to engage students in a dialogue of the life-long benefits of an internationally accredited MBA.

 

Career Day (On-Campus Recruitment)
The Career Development Centre enables you to have access to a wide variety of organisations. A Career Day is held in spring (Usually in May) where more than 40 companies attend the event in an attempt to recruit world-class CIIM MBA students. 

 

Career Development Workshops
In the same period as the Career Day, career development workshops concerning interviewing techniques, CV writing/updating, covering letter writing, job search techniques, stress management; are also taking place on campus. 

 

The MBA CV Book
Every year the Career Development Centre publishes the 'MBA CV Book' a compendium of the resume of MBA students and graduates available for employment. This book is sent to recruiters in both Cyprus and othe countries.

 

Company Presentations
During the Career Day, company representatives have the opportunity to make presentations of their corporations and career opportunities available.

 

Networking Events
Throughout the year CDC organizes Get-Together events for CIIM students and alumni. 

 

Online Recruitment
CIIM has partnered with MBA-Exchange.com (access passwords have already been sent to students) to provide recruiters and CIIM students an online facility that provides the following services:

  • Searching and viewing of jobs that can be marked for easy future reference.
  • Advanced Search: Searching of job postings on MBA-Exchange.com by industry, function, location, type of position and/or keyword.
  • Personal Job Cart: Storing of jobs and relevant notes in your personal "MyJobCart".
  • Online Applications: Apply online and keep a record of past applications.
  • CV posting, for recruiters all over the world to access.
  • Job Alerts: Creation of alerts to automatically receive all new jobs matching your qualifications and preferred job features.

 

Local Recruiters
CDC collaborates with various recruiting agencies in Cyprus that have both local & global reach; e.g. Approved Personnel, Gravity, Apola Human Solutions, Global Recruitment Solutions etc. who regularly post various job openings at our job announcement board (next to the library) as well as dispersing information through e-mail.

 

Leonardo Da Vinci Mobility Programme
The Leonardo Da Vinci Mobility Programme, is a European Union programme that encourages students throughout the EU to take up internships with companies and organizations in a European country other than their own. The programme finances the student's travel expenses (return ticket), accommodation and insurance; in addition, students also receive a monthly payment from the company they are interning with. The programme covers a 3-month period, and is usually carried out during the summer months.
